Inside edge of morocco decorated with gilded fillets, frame of ochre morocco listels interspersed with gilded irons and corner irons. Fir green moire guards. Double guard of marbled paper. Original paper covers and spine bound in. Binding signed Charles Lanoë. Perfect interior despite some freckles on the pages of the suite on China. 134 black and colour illustrations by J.-L. Forain .
Limited edition to 250 copies. This one is one of the copies on vellum of Arches and numbered in Roman numerals containing a suirte of illustrations on China.
