Published under a pseudonym, it was only in 1994 that this work was officially recognized by Dominique Aury, inspired by his love affair with Jean Paulhan, who wrote the preface. The text was rejected by Gallimard, allowing Jean-Jacques Pauvert to publish one of his first bestsellers.
