Erte (Romain de Tirtoff)
Luigi Serafini illustrated by RICCI
Parma - Franco Maria Ricci - 1981
- Format : In-4
- Number of volumes : 2 tomes.
- Binding : cardboard.
- Collation : 190 pp.
Very beautiful text by Roland Barthes, followed by an extract from Erte's memoirs, illustrated with numerous colour mounted reproductions of ERTE's works. "Contains the reproduction of the alphabet painted by Erte in gouache with gold and silver highlights in 1927" (Seita, n°184, p.50). Limited and numbered edition of 1500 copies, on beautiful blue Fabriano paper, by hand. Under black casing. Black silk cardboard binding. Smooth spine with gold lettering. First dish illustrated with a large colour vignette. Illustrated guards. Very fresh interior.
Franco Maria Ricci's publications are characterized by their extreme aesthetic refinement, with a predominance of black as the spineground, and by the symbol of the publisher's hometown: the violet of Parma, stylized with only three petals; a very refined book like everything Franco Maria Ricci has produced.
