Born on February 4, 1881 in Argentan, Fernand Léger works on many media throughout his career, such as painting, cinema, illustration, glassware, ceramics and design... Contemporary of Picasso and Matisse, friend of Duchamp and Cendrars, Léger is first and foremost modern through his membership in an era rich in artistic innovations. Then he celebrates the machine and urban life in many paintings.
