Binding of the time half brown morocco with corners. Spine decorated with a gilt fleuron and Devéria title. Gilt head. Not trimmed. All these gouaches measure approximately 24 x 31 cm and are mounted in a bluish wove paper album.
Meeting of 40 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS painted in bright colors, mainly of historical costumes for the theater.
From several different hands, they were mostly executed by Achille Devéria (1800-1857). Of particular note is the drawing of Saint Ferdinand, which Devéria was to use for the stained glass window in the chapel of the Château d'Eu.
From the collection of William A. Frazer, baronet of Ledeclune and Morar, with bookplate and dry stamp on each plate.
