Binding in blue canvas editor. Cover and back a little faded. Handwritten mention "With A. Lasenby Liberty's compliments" in the false title. With illustrations by Emma Louise Liberty and others. 12 non-text cards including one on double page, 102 non-text plates including 2 frontispieces. A few freckles.
An account of a trip made in the spring of 1897. The routes are in red overload on the maps. The 2 frontispiece plates, which are not found in all copies, represent the mother and father of the author to whom the book is dedicated; page XVIII a note indicates that the personal portraits are only found in copies intended for the private circuit.
Despite the title, the mountain part is summed up as the ascent of Ursuya.
