Also contains 2 botanical plates excluding watercolour text by Jean-Baptiste Bory of Saint-Vincent, a folding map and 3 vignettes after E. Isabey, engraved on wood.

 

FIRST EDITION.

Nodier made this trip with the painter Eugène Isabey, author of the three drawings in the book, and the artist Alphonse de Cailleux who drew the route map. Nodier also visited Brighton, London and Oxford before moving to Scotland, a very rare first edition.

Very nice copy.
