After a long stay in America, Joseph Mandrillon was one of the first to study the political system in the United States.

Here he provides an accurate and critical analysis of the prosperity drivers of the 13 American states one year after their independence. In the second part, the author thus develops the idea that the discovery of the New World was paid for by a shameful massacre and prosperity, by slavery... Mandrillon then settled in Holland where he published political writings... Spine in France, he was imprisoned as royalist correspondent of the Duke of Brunswick and was guillotined by the Revolutionaries in 1794.

Very good condition.
