Dishes lined with cream morocco framed by a wide red morocco border with golden fillets and small white morocco rectangles, red moire guards, double guards. Gilded edges on witnesses. Binding signed MERCIER, successor of his father, 1928. Illustrated edition of 12 non-text engravings by DARAGNÈS, and many woods. Original preface by Pierre Mac Orlan.

Limited edition to 439 numbered copies.

Unique copy, on ancient Japan, from the library of Christian Lazard (1880-1943), bibliophile banker and offered by Daragnès with all the original washes.

It is enriched with:

- A handwritten letter signed by Daragnès.
- 2 original ink washes, one of which is dedicated to Mr. Lazard.
