First dish decorated with a mosaic cross of navy blue morocco whose shadow is depicted in crushed dark blue morocco, radiant circles gilded and cold. Gilded edges on witnesses. Navy blue linings and canvas guards. Original paper covers and spine bound in. Binding signed CREUZEVAULT.

Illustrated edition 84 black woods, engraved by Germaine de Coster and Savinienne Tourrette after the drawings of Jules CHADEL, handmade by Yoshijito Urushibara.

Copy enriched with 2 DRAWINGS ORIGINAL TO THE LAVIS using one of the double-page drawings and the frontispiece. The copy also contains a SIGNED SELF-REPORTING LETTER from Father Henri Bremond with its envelope addressed to Mr Henri Prost, about an appointment: "You will give me the greatest pleasure by coming to see this place / not just heaven! - the master / of the giant Thibaudet, but / his friend and admirer".
