Half chocolate percaline binding 19th century, gold title, preserved publisher's cover. Very fresh copy. The title pages were not bound at the time, but the work is very fresh and the cover, impeccable, has been preserved. Two plates of superb illustrations, engraved and finely enhanced in color.
Delcher was a pharmacist in Castillon in the Bordeaux region. This work was authoritative in its time. In it, he denounces the abuses committed in the manufacture of cocoa in order to obtain a cheap product.
