The boards of Pierre Joseph Redouté are remarkable. It is not really a dummy extract because there is a particular title and table dedicated to this study.

Is part of the History of the Forest Trees of North America published in 3 volumes between 1811 and 1813 with 287 plates.

Born in 1770 in Satory (like his father), in the King's gardens, he left for the United States as a teenager with his father in 1785 to explore its botanical resources. Michaux père creates a first nursery in Hackensack (New Jersey) near New York, and a second one near Charleston (South Carolina).
Together they explore these regions and northern Florida.
He returned to France in 1790 to study medicine with Corvisart. He returned to America in 1801 to sell his father's plantations. He will publish his trip when he returns.

Good condition.
