Nice provenance for this copy in the second edition of this treatise on vulcanology in Auvergne (formation, activity, topography, influences and incidences).
Provenance: Ex-breaker Edward Ellice, son of a family of fur traders in Canada, influential British politician who was a Member of Parliament for Coventry (1818-63), Secretary of the Treasury, then Secretary of War. The Ellice family's archives are held at the Bibliothèque de Montréal in Canada.
