"Louis Eugène Ménégoz, born on September 25, 1838, in Algolsheim (Haut-Rhin) and died on October 29, 1921, at 121 boulevard Raspail in Paris, was a French Lutheran pastor and the founder of Symbolo-fidéisme, a liberal Protestant theological trend that emphasizes attachment to symbolism and faith in God rather than attachment to dogmas. He was the dean of the Protestant theological faculty in Paris in 1901".
