In lined case. Full binding in cherry morocco. Smooth back with only the golden title. Repeated title in large golden letters at the bottom of the first dish decorated with a large floral composition mosaic on a seedling of golden dotted lines, in a golden geometric frame. Repeated decoration on the hunts, lined, as well as the guards, with pale green moiré fabric. Golden fillet on the cups, golden slices. Cover and back kept. Binding signed MAROT-RODDE. With 27 illustrations drawn and etchings in colour and black by Gaston BUSSIÈRE. Many letters decorated in color and gold.
LIMITED EDITING to 500 numbered copies. This one is one of 50 on Imperial Japan, containing three etching states including pure etching.
