PRECIOUS EXEMPLARY, WITH THIS SIGNED SEND by Jean GIONO on the false title :
This copy is one of the fifteen s that Louis Brun Director of Éditions Bernard Grasset had had broached in first condition, out of trade one year before the original edition.
In this novel, a hamlet must atone for the crimes that men have committed against the Earth. Jean Giono, with this first novel, invented a new form of writing using the language of rural men. This style of writing will be found in the two books that will complete the[nbsp]trilogy of failures :[nbsp]One by Baumugnes and Regain.
This genre is tinged with what is called wonderful realism : realistic facts intertwined with the irrational interpretation of the characters, the supernatural.
Very good condition.
