Attached to this first edition of the Memoirs is an autograph letter signed by Francis Jammes, dated October 20, 1920 in Hasparren (3 p. in-4), addressed to a friend, in which he castigates the behavior of his publisher Plon, "a merchant who [however] calculates pennies. in-4) addressed to a friend, in which he criticizes the behavior of his publisher Plon "a merchant who [however] calculates to the penny how much an author brings him" but who, curiously, does not seek to sell him, to push his works, and with Plon Jammes also attacks contemporary criticism: "But just look at a bookshop front from the front!
