In a lined slipcase. Bound in full brown morocco. Spine decorated with gilt fillets. Double framing on the boards of tan morocco lilies with gilded fillets, stylized fleur-de-lys in spandrels. Lining of havana morocco with mosaic pattern in the center representing a fleur-de-lys of white morocco in a set of brown morocco scrolls and gilt filets. All edges gilt. Cou- verture and spine preserved. Binding signed WECKESSER and sons. Spine slightly lightened.
Edition decorated with 42 compositions by George BARBIER, woodcut in colors by F.-L Schmied, including the cover and 13 plates out of text, 21 illustrations in the text and monochrome ornaments in the text.
LIMITED EDITION to 133 numbered copies on Arches wove paper.
