Beautiful composition running across the boards and spine of geometric patterns mosaic in calfskin, box and green, lime, turquoise, red, salmon, yellow, emerald green, set with cold filets and gilt filets. Smooth spine with author and illustrator in gilt letters. Endpapers in garnet and emerald green velvet lambskin with green and orange calf scrolls. All edges gilt. Cover and spine preserved. Binding signed Nicole FOURNIER, gold medal of the Métiers de France, gilding by Pierre Marseleix. Illustrated with 113 gouaches by Jean HUGO engraved on wood in colors.
