Born in Oran in 1914, Emmanuel Roblès knew poverty. He was a child of the street, the rocks and the sea. Friend of Camus, they formed a group of young writers in Algiers with René-Jean Clot, Gabriel Audisio, Max-Pol Fouchet, Fréminville.
The Italy he knew during the 1944 campaign, which fascinated him, inspired novels such as "That is called Dawn", "Vesuvius", "An Italian Spring", "Venice in Winter" and a comedy, "The Clock".
Very good condition.
