Born in Oran in 1914, Emmanuel Roblès knew poverty. He was a child of the street, the rocks and the sea. Friend of Camus, they formed a group of young writers in Algiers with René-Jean Clot, Gabriel Audisio, Max-Pol Fouchet, Fréminville.
The Italy that he experienced during the 1944 campaign and which fascinated him, inspired him to write novels such as "It's Called Dawn", "Vesuvius", "An Italian Spring", "Venice in Winter" and a comedy, "The Clock".
Very good condition.
