"The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark" (in English, The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark), more commonly known by its short title Hamlet, is the longest and one of William Shakespeare's most famous plays. The exact date of its composition is not precisely known; the first representation is surely between 1598 and 1601. The text was published in 1603. Hamlet has been the subject of extremely numerous and varied critical analyses: thematic, stylistic, historical, psychological, etc".
