Leather-edged slipcase. Full dark blue morocco binding, upper plate adorned with a mosaic decoration formed by a sunset of red morocco with wide rays of the same morocco, resting on a series of 6 horizontal black nets extending over the spine. Spine with 3 nerves and a golden title in length. Red velvet linings and guards. Top edge gilt. Not trimmed. Original paper covers and spine bound in.

LIMITED DRAW TO 350 NUMBERED EXAMPLES ON VÉLIN D'ARCHES PAPER, remarkably illustrated with 109 compositions by Charles FOUQUERAY (1869-1956) including one on the cover, 1 on the title, 86 in the text and 21 on full page.

Copy in pretty unsigned mosaic binding by Dominique Comolli, whose decoration on the upper plate is inspired by part of the illustration on the cover. It is exceptionally enriched with one of the 50 suites of illustrations on Arches vellum, kept in a separate box case on the spine of a blue morocco. This suite was normally reserved for copies numbered from 1 to 50; this copy is numbered 51. Stings on a few sheets. Provenance: Dominique and Yvan Comolli, with ex-libris.
