Blue full-box binder. Insolated four-knotted back with title, author's note, horizontal fillets and a gilt fleuron in the caissons. Slight bit wear. Pages not taken down. Very nice paper freshness. Contents adorned with 18 colour compositions by de Paul-Émile BECAT, one of which serves as a frontispiece.
Originally a soap opera entitled El Dorado published in Le Figaro, Fortunio tells the story of an eponymous character who is intriguing to say the least for those who frequent him. What could he be hiding behind that high roller?
