Rare edition of one of the last books illustrated by François-Louis SCHMIED, decorated with 66 compositions by the artist, including 20 full-page, 24 "stage" heads and 22 culs-de-lampe.
Work considered to be among the most ambitious undertaken by F.-L. Schmied, begun during the economic crisis of 1929, which forced the artist to close his studio.
