In a brown morocco flat spine and corners box. Bound in full brown morocco. Smooth spine with gilt title. On the first plate is inlaid a shell cameo representing two young girls. Gilt head. Gilt fillet inside, green moiré silk lining and endpapers. Not trimmed. Cover and spine preserved. Binding signed M. J. Guian-Milliaud.
Edition illustrated with 29 color compositions by André-Edouard MARTY, including one on the cover, one on the title, one full page and 26 in the text. There are also 71 decorative vignettes, including one on the back cover, 33 at the head of poems and 37 caps.
