Bound in full Lavallière calf leather of the time, gilded and cold decorated "à la cathédrale" on the plates, spine with raised bands decorated with gilded and cold gilded fillets and fleurons, gilded title and tomaison on morocco pieces, guilloché cups, inner roller. All edges gilt. Illustrated with 2 titles engraved with thumbnails and 20 pretty Chasselat figures before the letter.
Enriched with an autographed loong signed by the author, dated 14 January 1834, to Aurélie Dupin, daughter of the famous Parisian lawyer, who was President of the Chamber of Deputies from 1832 to 1837 .
