Exceptional copy, printed on Holland paper, enriched with a SELF SENDING by the author: "to Mrs. J. Janin, my dear, my maid, my my excellent friend, my devoted protector, my gracious guardian angel! I gently put under the shadow of his wings the volume charged with carrying my deep attachment and tender gratitude to him. His wife, Mary Ponsard, added a note from her hand to Mrs. Janin.
The volume is also enriched with a SELF-POEME SIGNED by F. Ponsard entitled "La fermeette se livre".
Finally, the volume contains an engraved portrait and a figure on China. We assume that it was constituted in this way at the time to be offered to the Janin couple, arbiter of the bibliophilic elegances of the time.'
