Binding - half brown saddleback with bradel corners. Spine with five raised framed fillets and a shade-green morocco piece with the title in gilt. Gilt place and date of publication on the heel. Rubbed jaws and nerves. Gilt headband. Ex libris in the form of a label on the back cover. Scattered freckles on the pages. Contents decorated with black and white stripes, lettering and lamp butts.

Nice little reissue of the works of Louise Labé, poetess and writer of the French Renaissance. This limited edition dating from the 19th century is proof in itself of the quality of her work, capable of resurfacing through the centuries.
