Full morocco lemon binding, on the boards set of gilded nets and fleurons in frame, smooth spine richly decorated, inner gilded lace, gilded edges. binding signed BAUZONNET. Illustrated with 3 intaglio figures interpreted on copper by Ghendt and Simonet after Jean-Michel Moreau (1741-1814), known as Moreau the Younger with a double state of the figures (before and with the letter), as for the copies on vellum.A portrait of Werther" éploré ", engraved for the Demonville edition of 1804 by C.
