Full morocco lemon binding, on the boards set of gilded nets and fleurons in frame, smooth spine richly decorated, inner gilded lace, gilded edges. binding signed BAUZONNET. Illustrated with 3 intaglio figures interpreted on copper by Ghendt and Simonet after Jean-Michel Moreau (1741-1814), known as Moreau the Younger with a double state of the figures (before and with the letter), as for the copies on vellum.A portrait of Werther" éploré ", engraved for the Demonville edition of 1804 by C. Noël after a drawing by Louis Léopold Boilly (1761-1845), a painter made famous by his expression heads, was added opposite the title at the time of binding. Darker yellow band on the first dish
