ORIGINAL EDITION of this booklet of 16 poems. Enriched with an autograph dispatch from the author to the writer Henri Nicolle and an autograph letter signed (March 4 [1868], 1 bifolium in-8, envelope preserved) addressed to a certain M. Montrozier, informing him of the forthcoming publication of his booklet Les Intimités, a small booklet of "only 400 verses".
Henri Nicolle (1819-1877), was the author of Contes Invraisemblables.
François Coppée (1842-1908) was an admired poet and author of his time, and his verse was often acclaimed, though this did not prevent him from being the target of quips from the Rimbaud-Verlaine duo, who often enjoyed parodying him.
