Leather-edged slipcase and shirt in brown half-marrow with stripes. Bound in full brown Jansenist morocco. Edge-to-edge linings and guards in the same morocco. Gilded slices on witnesses, preserved cover. Binding signed HUSER. Decorated with a portrait-frontispiece by F.-A. CAZALS. Spine of the shirt passed.
ORIGINAL EDITION LIMITED TO 1,050 NUMBERED COPYPERS, one of 15 copies on China, unnumbered. The frontispiece is in Japanese print and the cover is made of paper of your cream, while it is brown for the regular print run. The copy was presented in the Verlaine catalogue of the Georges Heilbrun bookshop (1949, no. 102).
