Full dark blue morocco binding with crushed coarse grains. Seven-fold framing of straight nets. Spine with 5 nerves decorated with caissons and golden date on the heel. Double thread on the cuts, seven-fold inner frame of straight threads. Top edge gilt. Blankets and spines kept. Slightly posterior binding, signed Weckesser and his sons. 

The out of text engraving of Paul Verlaine in the hospital, a band on his head, is printed on thin Japan.

ORIGINAL EDITION, not commercially available, printed on Dutch laid paper and printed only 350 copies, the first 100 initialled by the author .

Copy enriched with a SIGNED SELF SENDING BY THE AUTHOR "To Mr. Christian Estienne. Sincerely. P. Verlaine".

Very beautiful copy in an elegant binding.
