In lined case. Bound in full caramel morocco. Cases in two mosaic tones, triple gold net frames enclosing a brown morocco mosaic strip, double gold net on cuts, interiors with wide morocco frame and rounded beige strip at the corners, brown mosaic leaf decoration at the corners, burgundy canvas in the central part, double guard sheets. All slices golden. Cover and back kept. Binding signed E. MAYLANDER. Perfect interior. With very beautiful illustrations of H.A. ZO put in color by Eugène Decisy. A few scattered wetting (engravings not touched).

LIMITED EDITING to 130 numbered copies. This one is one of 15 on Arches vellum put on the market.

Henri Achille Zo, a Basque painter, was a student of Léon Bonnat and his father Achille Zo. He worked in Paris on the paintings of the Théâtre National de l'Opéra-Comique. He was awarded the Rosa Bonheur prize in 1903.
