Beige blanket filled. Illustrated with 75 colour drawings by Jean BRULLER (1902-1991), also known as VERCORS.

Rare ORIGINAL EDITION limited to 325 numbered copies. This one of the 50 out of trade.

Enriched copy on the false title of an autograph signed by the illustrator Jean Bruller, accompanied by a small pen drawing: "9 December 1930. to Mr Gérard Boutelleau (a great resistance fighter who was deported in March 1943), whom too much glory would make Jean Bruller filifer, very friendly".The drawing accompanying the mailing depicts the character Filifer trapped in a notary press with the words "Babbit Nobel Prize" (Sinclair Lewis won the Nobel Prize for his novel Babbit in 1930) and "Malaisie Goncourt" (Henri Fauconnier was crowned by the Goncourt in 1930).

Against the spinedrop of a childish quarrel between the Budderball and the Filifers, the author exposes the inconsistencies of a fratricidal war.

Nice copy.
