In a lined case and under a brown half-maroquin shirt with overlaps. Bound in full morocco cauldron binding. Dishes decorated with fawn mosaic scrolls accompanied by small triangles of brown morocco, smooth spine decorated in the same way. Gilt edges on witnesses. Each counter-plate presents a gold silk wood framed with morocco chaudron, satin guards, double guards. Embossed cover and preserved spine. Binding signed G. CRETTÉ.
Illustrated edition of 53 coloured woods by Jules CHADEL, with the help of Germaine de Coster and Savinienne Tourrette, hand drawn by Yoshijito Urushibara. Preface by Louis Barthou.
