Limited edition at 750 copies. One of the 100 numbered copies on Vergé Hollande Van gelder Zonen with a sequence in black on the same paper, It was on July 12, 1922, the day when the French Senate denied women the right to vote, that[nbsp]La Garçonne, Victor Margueritte's avant-garde novel, appeared.
It is a book with Art Deco illustrations. Van Dongen's drawings, with their slender and elegant women, their short hair and almond-shaped eyes, correspond perfectly to the "boy" described by Margueritte. Both the text and the images represent the female archetype of the 1920s.
Great work.
