Full dark blue morocco binding. Nervous spine decorated with a small golden violin between the nerves. Dishes decorated with a frame of gilded fillets and a second frame decorated in the corners with an iron in the shape of a violin and foliage and in the centre a large violin mosaic of light blue morocco decorated with small irons. Gilded edges on witnesses. Large inner golden lace. Cover kept. Binding signed CHAMBOLLE-DURU. Illustrated with 36 etchings of Jules ADELINE drawn by Ch. Chardon. Foreword by the author.
Limited edition to 500 numbered copies. This one of the 150 head specimens on Imperial Japan, with etchings in 3 states including pure etchings. This one is enriched with an ORIGINAL AQUARELLE SIGNED ADELINE JULES on the false title.
