Bound in half brown marbled basane. Spine with five nerves with fleurons, pearled fillets, gilt title and author's mention. Super-libris gilt on the heel. Spine and headpieces rubbed. All edges speckled. Handwritten and stamped bookplates present on several pages. Paper slightly browned but in good condition. Contents decorated with 4 sketches and 8 black and white engravings out of text.

Beautiful bound copy describing the Battle of Trafalgar which saw in 1805 the Franco-Spanish naval forces under Vice-Admiral Villeneuve defeat the English fleet led by Vice-Admiral Nelson. The texts and illustrations present help the reader to get an idea of the violence of the battle.
