Full red morocco signed AMAND, golden lily flowers in spandrels at the corners of the boards, spine with 5 nerves, boxes decorated with a golden lily flower and golden title. Double gilded fillet on the cups, fine gilded inner lace. Golden slices. Illustrated with 9 beautiful compositions by LACHEVALLIER-CHEVIGNARD engraved by DIDIERS, including the forehead, 3 large plates w.h., medallion, chapter head, lettertrine, cul-de-lampe. Slightly split upper jaw.
LIMITED DRAWING. A personal copy to Georges de Montbrison, this one on Holland, with a handwritten letter signed by the illustrator on the front page, one of the most famous funeral prayers pronounced by the Bishop of Meaux.
