Copy enriched with an AUTOGRAPHIC SENDER SIGNED by the author's grandson: "To Mr. Victor Blanchet, respectful friendship, July 26, 1925".
Behind this nicely bound book lies the memoirs of an actor of the Napoleonic campaigns in Spain. The author - Viscount de Barral - took part in the battle of Torrequemada and was captured by the English. He describes the sufferings of the French prisoners with objectivity.
