A beautiful bound centenary copy giving us a historical testimony of the transition between the XVIII and the XIX centuries. The story is full of characters who went through the instability of the Revolution and the successive regimes to finally make a name for themselves under the First Empire. Baron Jean-Baptiste Grivel (1778-1869), a naval officer, was one of these people, as his career shows.
Very good condition.
