Original paper covers and spine bound in. The interior is perfectly fresh with colour illustrations by Adolphe Giraldon and A. Robaudi, engraved on wood. Binding signed JOLY FILS

LIMITED DRAWING NUMBERED at 120 copies. This one of the 50 printed headers for Full Members of the Society of Friends of Books. A named copy for Mr. Albert Six-Deniers, with a black-on-China suite of all illustrations. Ex-libris by Adrien Lachenal, engraved by Decaris.

An autographed copy signed by the author to Mr. Emmanuel Rodocanachi (1859-1934), a French man of letters and historian, a specialist in the history of Rome and the Papacy.

Magisterially bound in a superb morocco.
