Bound in dark green half-chagrin with corners. Spine with five raised bands, gilt title and author's name. Gilt fillets on spines and corners. Corners slightly rubbed. Ex-libris in the form of a slip on the counter-plate. Pages not soiled. Paper slightly browned. Color frontispiece under serpente. Nice condition of the contents decorated with 263 engravings in-text, 6 maps in colour out-of-text as well as 68 plates in black and white.
