- Format : In-8.

Set of two volumes in one volume with half red basane binding end of XIXth century with corners. Smooth spine with green morocco piece on which appear the title and the author's mention in gilt. Gilt fillets on the heel. Joints cracked. All edges speckled. Ex-libris in the form of a label on the back cover. Paper browned but in good condition.
Rare and sought-after book.
Very important work, one of the first to evoke the whole of the Pyrenees. This copy once belonged to the Countess of Montebello, lady-in-waiting of the Empress Eugenie, who was featured in a famous painting by Winterhalter. Her bookplate is intentionally placed so as not to cover a small round ownership label on light blue paper, bearing the number H. B. One can think of Henri Beyle, alias Stendhal, who made his trip to the south a few years after the publication of Arbanère's work.
Fair condition.
