Rare edition of Paul Verlaine's "La Trilogie érotique" with 39 free poems by the poet and illustrated with 15 very free engravings attributed to Maurice François Alfred Martin, known as Martin Van Maele (1863-1926). This edition, the second which gathers Verlaine's erotic poetry (the first was printed in 1907 in a smaller format with etchings also by Martin Van Maële), gathers three collections of the poet and in-fines the "Sonnet du trou du ass" co-signed by Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud. The first "Friends" was first published by Poulet-Malassis in 1866. The second "Women" was first published in 1890. The third "Hombres (Hommes)" was published posthumously around 1900.

Good condition.
