Biography of the Marquis Henri Joseph Costa de Beauregard (1752-1824), a Savoyard general in the service of King Victor-Amédée III. He campaigned against the French from 1792 to 1798. Member of the Council of Regency, he tried to help the Austro-Russians to expel the French from Piedmont.
